The AK Wedding celebrations at the boutique Alila Diwa Goa, kickstarted with a super cool “Flamingoes & Pineapples” themed pool party-mehendi by the infinity pool of Alila Diwa.

Hanging Tassels, floral pineapples and shell backed flamingoes were the main decor elements along with the natural ambiance of the paddy fields behind the pool.

The entertainment was less mainstream but very interactive.

A walk-about folk band that made a popular street food item walked from guest to guest, singing couplets and serving food.

The guests painted messages on a blank canvas, which later turned out to be the couple’s portrait, an interactive experience we call magical art!

Maddy and Jojo followed by the DJ took the Buddha-bar themed cocktail party on until the wee hours of the morning.

Day 2 began with an elegantly setup brunch at the Spa lawns. Dreamcatchers, croche, raw wooden logs and props and loose white drapes with tons of bean bags were the decor elements.

The wedding took place at the courtyard of Alila Diwa Goa, where age old banyan trees give a natural foresty vibe. The theme was rustic-indian, with orange drapes, loose marigold fused with dry florals as the main stay. Other earthy elements included floating marigold islands (in the venues waterbody), as well as heavy use of dry roots and bells.

A royal sitar symphony of 15 sitarists played fusion music during the Pheras. A neon themed after party in the ballroom was the last of the events.
